Fall on the coast carries a gentle pause, a moment that invites us to slow down and savor simple pleasures. Lately, warm browns have become my favorite fall colors—earthy tones that feel like driftwood left behind after the tide, comforting and calm.
This season also brings festivals filled with music, handmade treasures, local harvests, and the joy of gathering with friends and neighbors. Wandering through them always reminds me how magical community can be.
At home, I welcome autumn with décor inspired by nature—multiple shades of medium to light browns, soft sandy tones, cozy textures, and warm lighting that create an inviting space for family and friends.
With my son back in college, I’ve found a little more time to recharge, focus on wellness, and enjoy quiet moments of creativity. One of my favorite resets is a cozy getaway, and in this issue of Coastalpolitan Magazine, we feature one of my favorite destinations: Lucia Bleu, a Cottage on the Bluff in Fairhope, Alabama—beautiful, tranquil, and full of coastal charm.

Art Attack
The Greater Gulfcoast Arts Festival is back again, bringing color, creativity, and community to downtown Pensacola. Happening November 6–8, 2026, the festival runs from 9–5 on Friday and Saturday, and 9–4 on Sunday. Free to the public, this beloved event will welcome artists from 24 states. Of the 49 participating artists, 11 proudly represent Florida.
This story highlights the festival’s many attractions — from painters, sculptors, jewelry makers, photographers, and craftsmen to traditional artisans keeping time‑honored techniques alive. The Children’s Arts Festival and a special appearance by the Pensacola Symphony add even more excitement to the weekend lineup.
